The Up-Skilling Training Program (USTP) under the National Semiconductor HR Development Program (NSHRDP) aims to train over 5,000 engineers in semiconductor chip design and verification through Foundation (2,800), Specialized (1,400), and Expert-Level (750) training tracks. Developed in collaboration with industry, the program offers hands-on training in advanced semiconductor technologies using world-class EDA tools and industry-driven workflows.
The Semiconductor Education & Research Clusters (SERCs) are being established across the North, Centre, and South regions of Pakistan to develop over 2,200 semiconductor engineers, including 1,500 BS/BE and 700 MS students by 2030. Through modern curricula, semiconductor labs, research opportunities, and access to advanced EDA tools, SERCs aim to build a globally competitive semiconductor talent ecosystem in Pakistan.
