Building Pakistan’s Skilled Future

Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Program (PMYSDP) was initiated to strengthen the quality of technical and vocational education and training (TVET).

 

The purpose of the program is to equip young people with market-driven conventional and high-tech skills required for career progression with an aim to bring capacity of youth at par with international standards. PMYSDP is the vehicle of change to empower youth and harness their potential for human development and transformation of the future of Pakistan. The program comprises several components of interventions to stimulate the transformation of the entire TVET system in the country.

High-Tech Skills

Skill development of youth in high-end technologies.

Conventional Skill Development

Skill development in conventional trades for youth belonging to less developed areas.

Apprenticeship Training

Apprenticeship training for youth in various industries. More than 1500 youth have been trained in leading industries.

National Accreditation

Accreditation of TVET institutes across Pakistan.

International Accreditation

International accreditation of TVET institutes and joint international degree programs.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for youth to certify their informally acquired skills.

Facilitation Centers

Country-of-destination-specific facilitation centers established in 10 cities across Pakistan.

Standardization of TVET

Development and standardization of TVET qualifications.

Smart Tech Labs

Establishment of smart tech labs across Pakistan for distance learning TVET.

Labs in Madrassas

Establishment of new labs and workshops in Madrassas to introduce skill development activities.

Accreditation Council

Establishment of the National Accreditation Council at ICT.
